OK, how do you stop the wipers from "bouncing" as they go through their motions. I replaced the blades with new refills. They still bounce though. Also, are the ends of the blades supposed to go past the windshield at the highest point, or are they supposed to stop before crossing over the edge? Thanks in advance.
First step is to make sure the windshield is CLEAN. Clean it with Bon Ami.
The angle that the wipers hit the windshield makes a huge difference, too. Are the blades nice & perpendicular to the glass? If not, they'll slide in one direction and skip in the other.
I use Rain X "Glass Care 2000". This is a glass cleaning compound and really works good...
Of course I only have two speeds left:Medium/Fast.Don't use fast as I fear launching a blade.....blades should stop before leaving glass,however...

Mine are the same way. In traffic I cant turn it on high cause I think they might hit the car next to me!
check the spring..... it' might not have enough tension in it..... also, if the glass is too clean, the rubber will just stick to it and force it to bounce....use some rain x to lub it up
Glass cannot be too clean. It will skip under the presence of grease/grime. Not from being clean. Both a clean blade and clean glass are important....as is the alignment of the blade to the glass.
