Default Do longer bolts change spring rate?

I just installed 8" bolts and dropped my car about 1.5". Looks good. Question is, does this mod change the spring rate? I'm (slightly) concerned as my exhaust is a lot closer to the ground now. If the spring rate is "softer" due to the longer bolts, will the car "bounce" over bumps?

Despite the change in ride height, did you notice a difference in ride "quality" (for the lack of a better word)?

Not yet. I plan on re-building the entire rear end soon(er or later). Looking at the trailing arm bolts/shims, there's NO WAY someone's gonna loosen those to adjust! One big rusted mass.

Never caused any problems on mine. And I'm running the spring to the bottom of the bolt.
