Default 1971 Conv Blueprints

Hi there, im not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.
but its the c3 Discussion so here's my question..

Im a 3d modeller working for Atari, and i have to model a accurate hi resolution model of a 1971 Corvette convertible. the reference i have is very poor with one sideprofile view..

so i was wondering if anyone out knows if there are blueprints out there for this car, or some good side front & rear profile veiws ie Photos or drawing that people could point me to.

thanks

Get an AIM, you should be able to use something from that.

Welcome to the 21st century...

Just borrow a 68-72 vert from a local and measure it with coordinate measuring machine. Bang, instant, accurate model.

An AIM manual will show accurate profile views of the car as well a datum coordinates for the "birdcage". I have toyed with the idea of surface modeling the car but have only done some pieces.

The AIM drawings are old school hand drawings but I'll bet there pretty accurate. If you are modeling for a video game, they sould be more than enough.

We'd also appreciate it if you could make the Corvette a little faster than the other video games cars. Just for realism, of course.

Hi there..... i managed to find all the info regarding this car... and the car is coming along well, the main body is modelled and im now working on the interior.....

Im finding it really hard to find good images of the center console and gauges, vents, etc... and was wondering if anyone that reads this, has some spare time to take a couple of digi photos of the interior for me, you would be helping me out heaps.....

Have you thought about contacting the local Corvette Clubs in Melbourne? There are two!
Vic Vettes, which is part of the Chevrolet Car Club of Victoria and Corvettes of Melbourne.
I have a 68 roadster and the the AIM for 68.

So's my ashtray, HVAC and gearshift lever, not to mention the pedals.
Anybody working in the digital realm should be able to do a mirror quite easily.
Our club members own several LHD vehicles in the specified age group and I have a repop centre cluster to suit 69-72 sitting in a box if he wants close ups of the texture

Default 3-D Corvette as a file

A while back I posted a request here for something like this and somebody (I forget who) offered up a website that had a good number of vehicles. I found just one Corvette and it was only a "skin" of about a '78 maybe in AutoCAD. Good enough for my purpose. I've got the file at home, so tonight e-mail me if you want a copy.

Not the best picture but you may be able to copy the Stingray script. I may have another pic of the Stingray.
