Default Dynomax - Which Model?

Now that my car has been tuned by Lars (aka, the thing now runs), it is time to replace the lousy turbo mufflers.

I want to take advantage of the Dynomax rebate, but I can't figure out which model is best for my car (350/300, manual, exhaust is stock-looking straight back) - the Super Turbo or Ultra Flo.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I bought the ultraflows, which are getting put on tomorrow. I will let you know how they compare to flowmaster 40's.

Got the car alligned yesterday, and had to fix one of the brake pads that chewed up my rotor or I was going to have the new exhaust done today.

But anyway I will report back.

So far, Ultra Flo sounds like the choice.

All three are very restrained.

For a 350/300, I'd get the Super Turbos. Geven that Lars has got you dialed in, I'd be afraid of upsetting the balance with the much higher flow-rate fo the Ultra-Flos. I could be wrong, though.

I put the SuperTurbos on mine and they are just what I wanted, actually they are still plenty loud at idle but anything after that they are quiet, after years of loud ( MagnaFlows ) and a month of obnoxious ( DeltaFlow 40's ) I like the change.

THe only problem now is I am getting swarmed by ricers again who think my quiet car is easy pickins

Dynomax is offering a $25 - $75 rebate, depending on the model you choose. If you read the fine print, you can get 2 rebates on dual exhaust cars. That's some pretty sweet savings.

Check out Jeg's or Summit for pricing.

This is going to be a tough decision.

I have movie clips of the Super Turbos with a 350/350 engine in my Vette. Send me your email address and I will attach them to you.

They are very quiet at cruise. Fairly quiet at idle and realy growl at WOT. The Ultraflows are somewhat louder but not significantly.

Got the exhaust on today. Had them put on the Ultraflows with an H pipe right behind the crosmember with flanges to take both pipes off.

He put the H pipe after the flanges so both pipes have to come off in one piece, Not how I wanted it but he did good work.

It sounds great, like the previous post the Ultraflows don't have the tin sound like the 40's. I don't know if the H pipe does that but the Ultrflows are welded and pretty heavy.

Will have to post pictures when ever I get the time to do some hosting research. I think I have about 100 pictures of the rear end rehab.

Does anyone know if the Super Turbos can flow in either direction? I need a center inlet / offset outlet and they don't offer those.
