Did you buy new plug wires or just reuse what you had. I like the look but I would have to buy new wires again. I may have to do this next time I replace the wires.

Eddie: I bought new wires. To tell the truth, I opened my piggy bank and got out $130. The wires were $90. I have been wanting to do it for at least two years. My pic above is not so good, but the engine compartment looks much cleaner. Drivers side was easy. Had to use a little ingenuity on the pass side.

I see you used the stands to keep the wires up at the distributor. Are you thinking of putting the chrome cover over the distributor again? I have had mine setting behind the couch in the den ever since I got the car and have not put it on the car yet. I have given it some thought just so it would clean up some of the clutter around that area of the engine bay. So many vacuum lines and wires in that area detract from car IMO.
Best way, out of sight and out of mind. Big block or small block, the engine always looks cleaner if the plug wires are run underneath the headers. On a BB engine you have to custom make the wires. For a small block, most any early Vette plug set that originally was intended for a Vette running under the manifolds can be used for later years. I recently rewired my 62 with a OEM factory style cut to fit. Below is represenative of a typical BB car that I custom cut and fit to run underneath 2 1/4 primary tubed Hooker Comps with more than adequate clearances between the wires and header tubes.
