Default Instruement Lights...

ok so the lights behind my instrument panel went out the other day. i finally got a chance to look at it today and i want to check the fuse first. i looked in the manual and the picture is not really clear. then i looked in my chiltons handbook and still not that clear of a picture. so can someone tell me which is the fuse for the lights behind there. i want to check it before i check the actual bulbs. thanks.

Don't know if the fuse block changed over the years or what year you've got, but my instrument fuse is at the very bottom in the center (more or less). It's the only fuse of it's physical size. It's less then 1/2" long. The sockets ~should~ be labeled.

The position ought to be marked on the fuse block. It can be dark up under there, so arm yourself with a flashlight. Good luck.

Default fuse

If the fuse is not burn out, it could be the light switch. As it has a variable rehostat for dimming panel lights. This can get dead spots [open] or quit altogether. Light switch replacement is in order then.
