I have an 81 corvette ,I have a chance to buy a set of black fiberglass t-tops,my car is white do you guys think that it would be guady looking to run it this way for a while

Black would look ok for a while.... you don't have any chrome on your 81 so I guess it's all black and white....
These are cheap to paint, shouldn't be more than $100 if you prep them yourself....
don't mention they are for a Vette, that will cost extra...

Why didn't you tell me this last week? I just painted a set of fiberglass T-Tops black to go on my white '80! Oh No! ,what will I do now?
I have plans to buy another pair of glass T-tops for it and I decided that if it looks good with black glass on top it should look just as good with black fiberglass tops. This way the color will not reflect the change from one set of tops to the other. Black is black weather glass of fiberglass. Jim

BTW, just looked at your profile-photo.... that white '80 looks good
I think black tops on a light purple chrome bumper C3 with chrome windshield trim would be worst
edit: IF there is a member who owns a light purple chrome bumper C3 with chrome windshield trim and black tops: I'm kidding, don't take it personal !!!

Thanks for the compliment of my white '80. I have been building parts and gathering parts for three years to build a Corvette like I want. I have owned the White '80 since '93. I bought it with 46K on it and it now has 54k. Anyway all of the parts I have listed in the profile were for it. But I decided it was to nice of a car to cut up so I bought the one pictured below to put all of the parts in and put my white car up for cruzin'......
The profile can't be changed because of forum changes so I just left it alone. Here is the new project's pic. it was taken the day I picked it up as I was loading it to take to the shop. jim
