Default stainless Hookers (the sidepipes)

OK, I found stainless Hooker sidepipes at Summit - is there any Forum supporting vendor that can beat (or at least match) their price ?

I thought about chrome for a while but I think I like the stainless better - I do not really trust the coating, I know that I am not lucky with stuff like this and will likely scratch it or damage it during installation... then there is my worry about water hitting the hot header pipes..... so I guess I decided that stainless is the way to go ... these are about $1400 at Summit plus mufflers - is there any better deal out there ?

Contact Hooker(Holley Performance) maybe they can give you someone who has stock on them. While your on the phone ask if there is a reseller that might ship to you factory direct some online outfits will do that. It cuts down on shipping them to the middle man.

Is that with full stainless headers, too ? Not too bad a price.
A month isn't TOO long to wait.

Good move going stainless. I have seen many of the chrome
Hookers that rust out at the header collector.

yes, it's 100% stainless - no rust !!!!!
the headers are almost $1000, the sidetubes are $360 - I assume the mufflers are not included

I wonder why Summit is the only vendor that offers these in stainless - I saw that MidAmerica had them in an older catalog, however the new catalog doesn't show the stainless version anymore....

I'll call Hooker directly and see what they can offer...

The Jet Hot version doesn't have any problem with denting or water on hot pipes. Ask me how I know! They cut down on heat quite a bit, too.

That said, I'd get stainless. I didn't know they made them when I ordered mine.
