Default What throttle cable bracket you running?

Well I'm getting ready to finish up my re-install, but now I see that my old throttle bracket I used with the Victor Jr intake isn't going to work on the RPM Air Gap. I have a new Lokar Hi-tech throttle cable that I'm going to use with the Mighty Demon carb.

Show me what your using, what works, and what the part numbers are.

Thanks. With any luck, I'll be firing it up this weekend

Stock bracket for a 4sp & Holley carb. Gonna switch to a Lokar one day.

Thanks Len, that's what I was using, but I added a bracket to it because I didn't like having to clamp down hard with the carb nut to keep the thing from rotating. The bracket I added, also bolted to the intake securing it in place. Since the new intake is different, I'm looking to see if I can find something that is both secure and looks good

Yeah, my original has a small tab which bends down to sit in the groove at the base of the Holley carb. Not all Holley carbs have that little groove in the base though.

The little tab helps keep the bracket from rotating.

this is the strongest sturdiest brkt i've ever seen, it mounts to 2 bolts on the intake manifold, it comes w/2 adjustable bkts. don't know who makes it and haven't seen another one. problem is i can't use it anymore w/new bowtie 200r4 tranny.

Yellow, the Lokar looks like a nice piece also. Does it seem pretty secure from being able to rotate after being installed?

Sure does, it even has an adjustable stop to align the bracket with the carb/cable

It looks like raised lettering in the pic. How did you do it and where can I get the supplied to do it to mine?

I use a bracket I bought at Pep Boys. Works great for me. Has the bracket for the throttle cable and the auto trans kickdown cable. I had a question on the throttle connector in another thread if anyone here can answer it.

Thanks.

Thanks.

buzzards vette,
it is raised lettering. i also found it in ecklers catalogue. it's i think a stock part on one of the c5 vettes that they use on their valve covers. didn't know when i bought them that they were raised but it turned out better. they come w/adhesive and they're very fragile. u apply them 1 letter at a time however u want them. good luck
