Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a 1974 corvette.

Are any production numbers avaliable for the colors?
Can the build sheet on top of gas tank be read without taking out the tank?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Get yourself a copy of the Corvette Black Book. Has all the production stats. Can be easily found at all the major parts suppliers and Amazon, etc.

As to the tank sticker I'll defer to those who've done it, but I have read reports of folks being able to monkey-arm it and remove it from the top of the tank.

Oh yeah, and congrats on your new Vette, you have to post pics now!!

It is possible to remove the tank sticker without dropping the tank, you simply remove the body.

Actually, because these things are usually very fragile, trying to finesse it out usually results in destroying it. The best way (if you're sure its there) is to empty then drop the tank.

And congtatulations on your purchase.

Default Thanks for the replies

Thanks to all of you who have replied to my questions. As soon as I can figure out how to attach pictures, I will. My question on production numbers on the collors is because the numbers are not in the BLACK BOOK or any other book that I have. My car is silver mist with med saddle interior, and I cannot find how many were made with these colors.

You can find out how many came with silver mist exterior but I have never seen data on the combinations of that colour with the various interiors.

What you need to do to post pics is to first upload your pic(s) to a location on the internet. Some people use cardomain.com, photobucket.com, photohost.org or if your ISP provides you with some webspace, that will work too. Then in your post, click on the "Insert Image" button (directly below the right side of the font "size" box) and then place the whole address to the pics within the box that appears. To finish click the OK button and what ends up within your post should look something like this.

Note that the image tags (img) are misspelled (image) so they will show
up here and not actually try and display a picture.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
