Default Electric Seat Motor?

Hey all,

I just got my 82 model last friday and had a question, one of many.

My drivers bucket seat has the electric tracks, they don't work, I haven't had time to pull the seat and check it out but I was wondering if a non-electric track was an option on these models? I may just swap tracks instead of messing with expense and trouble of the motor and electrical.

Thanks

Power drivers seat was a $197 option, although most cars had it. Have you checked the fuse and the seat connections?

Not yet, I bought the car for $2200 running ( pretty good I might add, they took the crossfire off it and installed a carburator. I just bought a TPI set-up off ebay to put on it.)

One of the drawbacks is that the car sat for 10 years, moisture must have seeped in through the cracked weatherstripping. All the chrome has surface rust on it. My guess is the motor is seized up, but haven't looked yet, I will here in a bit though.

Pull the seat, 4 bolts, first. Then check your connection
