Are we seeing a trend here? George and I came to agreement on parts cost on 6/19 and all I was looking for was shipping cost to add onto the amount to write the check. Then he disappeared and has not responded to a single email or post. I'm glad to hear that he is an honorable guy and I've certainly made it clear to him that I still want to honor our deal.

Unfortunately, it looks like his popularity and lack of response may cost him some of his good reputation. I hope not but it looks like three weeks ago, Nick was telling folks not to panic, and now he's trying to get George's attention himself. I know he's still working the forums because I've seen recent posts from him.

I still need the original parts we discussed along with some others I've come up with and George seems to be an excellent source for us all. I just hope he can keep pace because we need someone like George who is willing to part out these beasts and provide us a reliable source of hard to find parts at a reasonable cost.

Hi Guys,

George went under a different name something like GEOPAR.

Trust me when I say we are very low on his list of priorities.

He is nice enough and I am sure there is no malice intended but man his responsiveness leaves a lot to be desired!

I tried many, many, many times about a year ago to get info. Once he gave me a price I waited, waited, and waited on the shipping to add to the check. I simply gave up!

He comes and goes on the forum here. He has all these parts for sale. Then it looks like he gets backed up and just fades away. I tryed to buy something awhile back. All I got was frustrated. He also won something on ebay from me and never paid. I would just stay away from him, but that just my opinion.

If his name is george, how come I received a email from a guy named allen about some upper corner molding I had inquired about. Saying that someone had asked about the molding way before I did and had said they now wanted it. I wish I had keep the email.

GEOPAR is an ID he uses on the Corvette Action Center forum, but I've found notes on that one also that indicate he has had responsiveness problems all the way back to '02. But also in his defense, he does flat out have some parts to offer. I just wish if he were going to make offers and commitments, he'd keep them.

I'm new to these forums and it's amazing how much most folks on here care about helping out. I've even seen George take the time to post technical info, not making a cent on parts. I agree it's probably not malicious, but it still does damage. I guess I'll put together a list of the parts I needed from George and post them to see who else can help out. A month is long enough.......

Default George

I visited George last week and exchanged a bent 69 rear bumper for a good one. He uses his son's email and that is why the name is different. I usually call him direct on either his cell or home number and have always found him available.

He has been shipping a lot of parts lately, I bet he is getting tired. He still has a lot of stuff...
