Default question about hoods

well hopefully this will be a quick answer.

i have a 427 hood on my 1969 350, and im wondering if theres supposed to be some kind of drains in scoops seeing as mine just collects and stores water there.

I'm thinking the 427 was supposed to vibrate the water off the hood.

at about 125mph the hood stays pretty dry...

Mine tho has two little 1/8" holes to let the water out.
