The lock is correct for a 68, but the chain is definitely from a later model. The 68 links were unique for that year only, which is why the holes are larger on the left side of the photo.

as a '68 owner, it's crazy how often I run across this problem. Sometimes I just have to settle for a later year part. Good pickup!
