Wahoo... like most Dads... I celebrated Father's Day yesterday. For me.. it was my first as my son was born just two weeks ago.
Here is the little guy... http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/bendera//title.jpg
And of course, I went to the hospital prepared....
My wife has been telling me since 1998 that the Corvette needs power steering because it is too hard to turn while sitting still... (really my way of limiting wifey from getting the keys too often.... hee hee)
This should be a straight forward install. Anyone have any advice or tips before I get started tomorrow night? Thanks guys... and girls....
Good for you! I bought my Corvette just last year when my son was 8-1/2. He turned 10 last week. He and I have spent many mornings and afternoons washing and working on "his" Corvette. We have taken trips to different places around So. Cal. The car has become a great way for us to spend time together, and we keep a scrapbook and taken pictures of the vette and check off projects as they are completed. Ultimately, it's about the time you spend together and not the car, great as it is. That is what you and your son have to look forward to.
cute little one, congrats, enjoy them while they're little,i was told that ,didn't understand until they got a little older(6 and 8 now)kids are great.
all i got was a shirt and dress pants, obviously picked out by mom, patrick would have given me earth worms, meagan would have drawn and colored a picture and explained it to death,ah kids, gotta love em.
My tenth Father's day ... when you get to the point where
father's day means the wife gets the kids out of your hair for the day.
That is - unless you want the kids in your hair - point is it is Dad's choice.
My 8YO son made me a cool mug with interchanging drawings for inserts.
One is all flames (cool), and the other commemorates our
Tuning for Beer session in New England. I will post a pic in Gen in a few days.
Ha... you would think this is an easy install.....
Well it should have been except in my happiness of my gift and thinking about my boy... I put the stupid pulley on backwards. To make matters worse... I put it all the way down... great... just great...
So as you might guess... an ordinary puller will not work... and of course the special puller won't work because the damn thing is backwards. As you may or may not know... I tend to use tools of mass destruction when I run into a glitch like this. My wife asks..."did you fix it and take your time..." I replied.. "Yes dear, I fixed the glitch..."
I took my cut off wheel to the pulley and hacked the center away. Now I am going to weld a small piece to the remaining pulley mess and take it off with a... a.... uhmmm... a.... A Steering wheel puller... IT will work I tell ya... I will keep you posted.
