Who carries the best OEM replacement radiator? I just ordered one from a local vendor. It was described on the phone as "new and not rebuilt". It arrived yesterday, and was rough. Over spray and lots of metal shavings inside. So I will keep looking.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
peter
how much?
what year do you have?
did they have it in stock?
was it new or rebuilt?
thanks, never thought about going back to Chevy
About $300 but that was 3 years ago. Mine's a 79, L82 auto. Dealer had to order it but only took a week. It was a new one. During the rebuild, the block was boiled, replaced hoses, thermostadt and water pump. Temp never gets above 180* except when using air it runs about 200*. BTW, my aux electric fan works. Good luck &
I purchased a brand new 4 core radiator off ebay for $139.00 to replace my 3 core. I've had it for about 2 year with no problems. Fit the bracket cushions and hoses perfectly.
I bought my new radiator from Radiatorworld.com it took 4 days to get to my house and has worked fine for a little over a year now. It was for my 1981 automatic and I paid $165.99 with shipping.
Dewitts radiator makes NOTHING BUT VETTE radiators. Buy the BEST or buy some Taiwanese JUNK! (most radiators are foregin produced now, not DeWitts.) Here is a link he is also a Forum sponser: http://www.dewitts.com/index.asp
