control arm dust shields
what to do with them? Are you supposed to tuck them INTO the upper control arm to keep them out of the fan belts? I always thunk they were supposed to lay flat OVER the upper control arm but this doesn't work.
My car does have the belt guide over the pass. side upper arm, but the dust shield still manages to get above it and burn against the belt ...

Thanks
That's what I've done with them now. I got kinda freaked out yesterday on my maiden voyage with the Spal Fans. I'm going 85MPH and all of sudden, the inside of the car is filled with smell of burning rubber!
hey SanDiegoPaul can you get a pic of that belt guide ?
maybe get some dimensions ?
I need one for my 76 and figured I could bend one up for it since I can't buy one any where
