The production year was actually 17 months....quality issues delayed 1983 models so GM just extended production to 1984....therefore,no "1983" Corvettes....I think...
There is only one "1983" Vette still in existance. It now resides in the museum in Bowling Green. Prior to that, it sat in the main entrance of the assembly plant. All the other "mules" were crushed.

Just nothing like signals or dash gauge color changes or that itty bitty crap to distinguish from any of the other years! 82s were built in 83 too so that makes them 83s not 82s Huh right? right? whats the registration say?
