so i took all the latches and mounts off of the t-tops when they were painted... i put the items back on and new weather stripping..... so far i have spent 3 hours trying to line up the middle seams and get them straight....not working too well..... any tricks to doing this...i put the tops on and tightened the mounts down but it tends to make the tops shift...... really getting to me....

I loosened the rear outer latch on the door frame and had a friend hold the top in place then tightened it. Mine line up like they should now.

I had the same problem after repairing and installing new W/S.

I eventually had to shim the two guides that go in the center T-Bar and still it was not "correct" because the new W/S was in better shape than the old so the tops sat higher. I did the best I could last fall and after letting it sit with the tops tight over winter I readjusted them again in the spring and now the center gap is only about 1/4-3/8".

Make sure that the back outside corner lines up with the little triangle that will set the top in place for the rear. Use the guide pin in the front to set that edge and everything should set.
