I shipped a front valence panel today via UPS. It made me decide never to use them again. It weighed 8.8 pounds, and cost me $58, from CA to WI. That is just absurd. It was 'oversized', which, weighing ~9 pounds, posed the USP man who picked it up as I watched absolutely no 'oversized problems' as he sat it on his hand trucks, and rolled it away. I have always had so many problems with UPS. They are, more often than not, much more expensive than FedEx, usually RUDE, and not very helpful in the claims department, from my experience. I HATE UPS.
Anyone have any luck with DHL? I haven't tried them, yet.
To me they are all the same. I have had good and bad with most all of them. Take your pick and hope for the best. Our company uses FEDEX so that is what I use mostly now.

Both the FedEx man and the UPS man that come to my house are good guys and want to talk shop when I am home to get the package. We have one of those UPS stores here in town, I will never use them again. That is highway robbery IMO. I just used the USPS the other day to ship something and was pleasantly surprised at the cost to ship.
money wise, they arent bad for what i use them for... as for timeliness... thats why i will never use them... shoot, i can usually drive to where i am taking thepackage and back by the time they get it there... it took 9 days for my carb to get from san antonio to kansas city... Fed Ex is my preferred shipping method now...
UPS said the hood was 164" long and they could only take 104" or less. I said, "there is now ay the hood is that long"...they measure corner to corner multiplyig by the square root of the national debt...jeez. Besides shipping the hood by Greyhound, which scares me, does anyone have suggestions on the best and cheapest way.
