For a quick fix, try black fine point Sharpie. After you fill in the cracks, you can't tell unless you look really hard. For correct, money no object repairs, try www.paintscratch.com

I actually re-painted my entire steering column at one point because I couldn't find the right touch up paint...

Because I´m from germany ,I´m very far away from (corvette-part)sources.But I can highly recommend the interior -color from "Corvette America".
These paints are extremeley good matching to the original corvette -colors.And it has the right satin -finish.
You can get it as spray - cans or in one quart-cans for use with spraygun.Don´t try to use a brush .These method would ruin the very fine quality of the paint. For small areas , use an airbrush , and you will get a really professional result. If you or one of your friends dont´t have one , you can try the spray. But in this case you have to do a little masking -job at the column to prevent overspraying.
If you do the work right, the result will be invisible. That´s what you want.

I use SEM Landau black on the steering column and the metal gauge bezels and satin black on the plastic and vinyl interior parts.

Man have I been looking for the correct paint. Looks like Landau Black is the ticket!

Thanks!

Did you use any kind of primer?
