Hi , thanks for all the comments . The vette is a 1973 stingray . Got it from a guy in jacksoville florida. He did all the custom work to it . Liked it because it looked differant ! The camaro is the 1997 30th year edition . Saving it for my son , who will drive next year !!yikes !! The trans am is the 2002 collector edition . i love the car . I like to be differant than everyone , so being we live in a small town , and only 2300 were made , i thought i would have the only one , but... a guy came from down state with one and moved in about 5 miles from me !!
We had the vette out for a ride a couple of days ago , and it started overcharging , by the time we got it home the battery had bubbled over, no idea why yet . No time to get back at it since then . Well , everyone have a great day , i guess i have to get to work now ! pamela

By the way, that is a really nice set of cars. I don't know if I'll ever own an F-body, by I do like the looks of them. Helped judge them this previous weekend at a car show.

Hi .Again.
Hi everyone , Went to work for a few hours , way to hot out there , 92, plus i have to be at a job site all night . As for the alternator , it was put in new last week , so we are thinking it was something with that .
We to are trying to decide on new rims , just have not picked the ones i really like yet .
" 7d2vette " where from in new york ? We are way up north , 40 minutes from lake placid , about 30 minutes from canadien border .It is a nice place to live , We love to snowmobile , and the snow is useually pretty good here .The bad part is parking the cars and going back to the trucks !!

My guess would be the voltage regulator died in the alt...ask me how I know. Change the alt (get it checked to be sure) and test the battery as well, it may be fried due to the overcharging.

I agree. Check the alternator. Mine died one time and boiled the battery good. Make sure to clean out the battery compartment good with baking soda to neutralize the battery acid then flush the compartment good with water. Be sure to wash the outside of the box also.
