Default Check out my website...

Corvetteforum,

I started a website to document the full restoration of my 1980 Corvette. It's evolving into other areas, such as free classifieds for Corvette users and vendors. I'll be offering free clipart for your corvette webpage design and I hope to improve the technical section for "novice" restorers/users like myself. I've included some photos of the "rusted rocker channel" replacement I did. Your feedback and suggestions on how I can improve it would be appreciated.

Great web site. Some of it would not come up for me, but thats due to the military connection we are using over here in Kuwait.
I'm thinking of doing the same for my '77 when I get back home to document all the "fun" I have while doing my resto.
Keep up with the updates, I'll be needing them!

Awesome job on the car!! Who owns the "willie" I see in the background of one of the photos? That would be fun to restore.

As for your site, you may want to separate it into sections (i.e., engine, body, suspension, frame, etc). You should also build in a slide show function. It gets tedious constantly having to click the back button in order to select the next picture and having to wait for it to load. A slide function allows you to navigate easily through a lot of photos. I also like to see the before and after pictures matched up as close as possible and shown side-by-side so you can really see the difference.

Just an opinion. I'm thinking of doing the same thing for my not completely correct restoration.

Nice job. It looks like you've done an awful lot of work, both on the car and on the website. You may want to check on some dead links or something on your Top 100 area that kept disconnecting me. Could just be me so I wouldn't worry about it unless others have the same problem.
PS I recently saw something about how web site design is supposed to be one of the best jobs to have right now. Maybe that's how you pay or should pay for your Corvette illness.

Wow, the frame is looking awesome. I also like the pressure bleeder you built. I have been wanting to build one of my own. I have most of the stuff gathered up, just have not put it together yet.

That is awesome. I hope it isn't contagious. Are you going to drive, show, sell or??? That was a huge project and sticking with it shows pure discipline. CONGRATS!!!

Awesome car!!! I wish I had the energy (and money!) to do a body-off like that! Seeing pictures is my favorite part of being on the forum. I'm going to post some of my car soon...

Thanks...

Great website and great resto. I'm just doing the same thing, except if I waited to do it myself, I would still be waiting so went the deep pocket method!
Check out my website www.graemeinglis.com my car has just gone to the painters, hopefully back on the road by mid September.

I really like your website. Very professional!!!! Looks like you put the same amount of money in your vette that I've put into mine. It's a black hole for money. I can't help myself though, I tend to be "****" about work I do.

Thanks for your kind words, my son put the web site together in an evening and with the exception of a couple of tweaks that was it. I'm really pleased with it and the vette, I just cant wait to see the vette finished. I am going for the original color, Marlboro Maroon since I think it shows of the chrome really well. I also ordered a set of 18" Billet Vintique Chevy Rallye wheels which should set it off a treat. Oh yeah, dont talk to me about the money, I'm scared to think about it. But hey you only do this once!....Dont you?
