Rear end clunk...now what?
Have that clunk at really low speeds, turning corners, coming to a stop, taking off from a stop, speed bumps, etc...
Added some limited slip additive and regular diff fluid, did the figure 8s, drove around some, still had the clunk going over speed bumps in my complex.
Mount bushing is there, probably the best looking bushing on my 79.
Doesn't appear to be leakage from the sides, but the front housing is very oily, stuff looks damp and somewhat fresh, but still I'd say about 3/4 full.
Should have some pics tomorrow, let both batteries run down on the digicam. Any ideas?
Try replacing the center diff. mount it is right on top of the yoke mine was bad felt like a rock hitting the floor buy my but. Got a new poly one and its great now and its a cheep try.
