Well, I hit the dyno yesterday - it was 95 degrees out with 95% humidity but I was still a little disappointed with the results (259/362) after feeling such a difference in the "butt dyno" after the tuning.
The shop owner told me to mess with my air valve to keep the secondaries from opening too soon so I will try that but with these numbers I am even more leaning towards a new cam and heads (maybe next year
The stock heads and somewhat mild cam I feel must be my biggest holdback now
Those are darned respectable numbers at the wheel and that's a gorgeous Vette you have. The "Butt Dyno" is the one that matters most anyway, so enjoy!
Thanks! Yeah you are right - and believe me, it does feel like night and day when I compare the power curve pre-tuning vs. post-tuning (thanks to Lars) but was hoping to translate that on paper - no big deal - paper is much less important!! Plus now I have something else to work towards!

Nice car Mike.
With all that torque i can't help but expect some more hp. And with those good looking headers my guess would be its rpm limited on the intake side - air clnr, carb, intake. Can't see ur dyno curves but AC and intakes are fairly cheap to upgrade and carbs are fairly easy to swap while not too expensive.
Anyways at least u know u have plenty torque and more hp potential to experiment with.
Any C3 owner would be very happy to make that kind of power.

You could easily pick up 20++ HP by changing the intake manifold and carb...
The street dominator isn't really a performance intake..
The q-Jet is nice, but there's nothing like a Holley
You are all correct on the intake issue, however when I went with the Holley SD I did not want to go the L88 Hood route...I still dont - so I will live with what I have for now...
However, after reading this post from a fellow dyno-er yesterday, I like to think my true RWHP maybe closer to 275!
I wonder what a cam and heads would do while still keeping my stock BB Hood....at that point I could try the mighty demon or Holley Street HP (I cant fit a choke tower)
I was a bit disappointed that I don't have a trophy dyno chart to post on the site. My car was really pulling around 362rwhp and 366 rwtq at Abacus in Va Beach last April. though their SAE corrected numbers were 20 lower than that. I have it on good authority that Abacus's dyno reads 20 lower than others in Virginia Beach. So that's the background on my latest state of tune, backed up by higher mph on runs at Cecil County. And backed up by actual results of beating C6s and Z06s at the track this year when I couldn't do it before.
Yesterday at John's my max was 337.8 rwhp and 341.5 rwtq, down from 343.9 and 348.2 in April at John's. After a lengthy talk with John he said my uncorrected numbers were up 10 from my last run in April, yet the corrected numbers were down 10. So obviously the SAE correction for weather is way off.
What this means for the rest of you is your numbers might have been 10 - 15 rwhp better on a perfect weather day. So take yesterday's numbers with a grain of salt; all of our cars are a bit stronger than that.
We need to schedule another dyno day in the cold of winter like that time at Springfield. We can throw these dyno charts on a bonfire to keep warm.
I know dynos correct for air and all that but if the engine can't make the power can the machine correct for it? A lotta temperature and a lotta water in the air.
Would you still make this same HP on a more reasonable day or would it be more?
