Default Build date 71 corvette

I am not where I can look at the data tag on the vet. Serial # is 18,975. I could not find the birthdate calendar, but if I remember it did not give dates for 71. Thanks.

The trim and paint tag on the drivers door post has an alpha-numeric code that indicates the production date in the top right corner.

Mine is B12=October 12th 1977

black book says last car in May was 18,233 and last car in June was 20,686, so you can prorate... except that June 71 was the last production month. Still, you are the 742nd vette in the month of June when they made a total of 2,453... so maybe June 9 or 10 would be my guess.

Nifty, your "prorated" build date would have been June 29, so it looks like they wrapped up production a few days before the end of June. That would push my estimate for 18975 up to like, June 7 or 8.

18,975 - some time in early-mid june sounds pretty close.

Thanks for all who replied. I just got off the phone and had the person who has my car stored look. My memory failed me on the serial #. Shows K17, # 194671S119725, so it is the 19,725 car made that year, a little later than I thought.
