Default Question about 1982

What were the original equipment brand of tires on a 1982 non-collector coupe. The size is 225/70/15. I know that the collector had Goodyear Eagle GTs. Was this only on the collector or all 1982s? Thanks in advance!

Goodyear Eagle GT were the optional tire on all 1979-1982 They were also standard on the 1982 CE. The 225/70/15 white letter tire was the Goodyear Polysteel which was used from late 1979 to 1982.

If you rummy around Carlisle you can find the Polysteels and the GT's.

I know what the option is and I know what size they are supposed to be. What I need to know is what company produced that tire... the 225/70 R15!

I just shot an email off to an NCRS judge, so hopefully we'll know soon!

Dave,

You don't need any judge The 225/70/15 tires were Goodyear Polysteels raised white letters. Ask George or Mike if they trust me about this!!!!!
