The exhaust manifolds are very restrictive, add at least some shorty headers.

One Flowmaster is about $80, with labour and the material (pipes, "X" section and tips) $300 appears to be too cheap to be true....

I had an estimate done at a local name brand shop for a smilar setup on a 73 and it was $750. So I put it off for a while. If they had come in at $300 I would have a new exhaust system by now.

Yea I'm not gettin it unless the shop gets parts for free, are you sure it's not $300 labour plus parts ?

I wouldn't be surprised if the "verbal quote" suddenly changes to $600 .... good luck

Default reasonable

What is reasonable? Depends on locale mostly. But if you are getting all that done for 300, you are doing well just about anywhere you go. I find the hometown muffler shops are a little hungrier and do a better job. Mostly because the turnover at the chains is tremendous and experience counts even in a exhaust installation. I had the mad chambered pipes I paid for installed at a local shop for about 110 labor including a crossover and bending a new first pipe on each side because of the shorty headers. They did a fantastic install and I thought were quite reasonable. So the mad pipes I believe were about 330 [including shipping] and 110 for install I had a get-r-done of around 440. I think you are finding a bargain as long as the skills are there with the installer.
