Default Exaust Question

Hi, I have a 1975 Corvette Stingray...I was just wondering if 1. there was anyway to put side exaust on my Vette, and 2. Where i can find headers and 3. If i could attach those headers to the side exaust. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hokker is a header manufactuer.

If you want chrome or stainless go to Summit. Chrome about $1000. Stainless about $1400. I got mine ceramic coated direct from Jet Hot for approx $1100 with the Corvetteforum discount. (The ceramic coating from Hooker is junk). You can get a Sterling coating like mine or your basic black.

The Hooker mufflers flow really poorly. A popular (but not cheap) solution is JCL spiral baffles from www.spiralturbobaffles.com .

I also added heat shields from www.cobrastuff.com to reduce that odor of burned flesh.

Hopefully someone lese can chime in on the stock 1969 style sidepipes.

Here's the OEM style. What you see are the chrome covers...you can also get plastic covers. They are available from Eckler's. The actual pipes run along inside the space between the body and the frame. Most States don't allow pipes on the outside of a vehicle, so with this OEM style it isn't against the law. The covers also keep things cool...you can touch the covers and not get burned...you don't want to hold your hands on them cause they are very warm, but just touching them won't burn you. Hiding the actual pipes behind shiny chrome covers also allows you to use chambered mufflers, or whatever you want that sounds good to you. I like the OEM sound myself.

If you want stock heres the side pipes and Here or another place sells headers to hook up to them.
Also need either stock **** pot metal chromed that will peel covers $2000
or fiberglass reproductions $300

Hooker and forgot.....headman? something like that for headers to sidepipes.

Forgot the linkhttp://www.sweet-thunder.com/corvett...pes_68_74.html

Which you might notice only goes to 74
. Catalitic catylism?
