Default inside rear view mirror

Ok guys a little bubba fix cheap and simple .The pivot ball on my rear view mirror was worn and mirror would wobble ,really annoying when driving.Removed mirror and got out the aim mamual and armed with Gmpart numbers called dealer .Parts still available but at the tune of62 us dollars could be ordered .Then ol Bubba put on his thinking cap.At the local hardware store you will find faucet aerators. The screen i usedfit like asock over the worn ball.Jumping Jehosafat put mirror back in no more wobble .Net cost 48 cent . no more wobble in mirror priceless

and it's the little things that make the drive more enjoyable... now if you can just fix my 71 driver side mirror? it does the same thing?

I removed my mirror completly, not because is was faulty but I found it blocked too much of my windshield. I did put a passengers side mirror on. It is suprising how much more open the car feels without that center mirror

Oh my God! No center mirror. My car isn't stock anymore. Yes, I'm one of those. This is what you become when you have a basic L48 smog coupe.

Really?
I couldn't imagine driving without a center rear view mirror!!!!!!!!!! Thats really weird. Id find it very difficult and would feel quite unsafe.

I know what you mean norval. The mounting bracket for my rear view mirror and it fell off one day. I just couldnt believe how much different the ride was. It almost made me thing I was flying an airplane because of the wide open view.

Go get a rearview mirror out of a junkyard mid 90s Pontaic Sunfire - Chevy Cavalier. Thay are smaller than standard C3 mirrors and shaped nicer IMHO.

Thats what I did for $5 and the smaller size works great for the C3 windshield visibility. I think every one I saw was black.

The FOB mount is standard so it will mount right up with the nice Allen screw already in the mirror mount.

Guess you never drove a big truck - even if you had a rearview mirror in the cab it would be kinda hard to see thru the big box you're dragging behind you - you get used to side mirrors and even in a car you tend to ignore the rearview mirror.
