My T-tops leak alot. And then sit in the hot Florida sun. I hope that's not the scent they're using.

Here's a letter-to-the-editor (EasyRider Magazine, ca. 1990) in response to EasyRider running a "Harley Davidson Cologne For Men" ad. In bold typer under the bottle of cologne it says "The Bike Is Optional". I photocopied this in my "biker" days and have kept it on the garage wall ever since:

Don't get me wrong. I love the Corvette brand. I own Corvette T-shirts and a couple of "off the wall" collectibles like a Corvette computer mouse and a Corvette video tape rewinder. It just struck me as a little funny that someone would come up with the idea for a cologne. It's as if they think we Corvette owners are a bunch of candy @$$e$ that will run out and buy anything with the Corvette name on it.

Ok, last month in Younkers, I saw the sample bottle, sprayed some on my shirt. Thought it smelled ok. But reminded me of those cheesy Avon cologne bottles from the '70s( this was actualy shaped like the car). Met up with my wife later on. She asked how come I smelled so good. So with a blind test it gets a thumbs up from a chick!

So it smells nothing like a corvette. I'd prefer it to smell like old leather.

It should smell like money, because after the car, parts, shop fees, tools, insurance, gas, beer, and the price of the dam cologne you wont have any left.
