Carlisle - Which Day to Go?
This will be my first trip to Carlisle for Vette week. I can only go for one full day and maybe the morning of the following day. You guys with all the experience, which day should I go if I have only one? I'm very interested in the used parts/swap meet, if there is one. Thanks.

I go to Carlisle for the parts/swap meet. I have gone on Friday the last four years. Most all vendors are there that will be there Saturaday. Fewer people also. Last year I drove up on Thursday morning and went thru the parts/swap area Thursday afternoon. On Thursday you get 'first chance' at the parts, but the prices are the highest probably, also few people 'shopping' Thursday afternoon last year. For going up on Thursday and 'shopping' Thursday afternoon and all day Friday is my first choice. I believe most activities are on Saturday so you'll miss the seminars-talks-etc..

IMO the crowd is a little bit down-size on Friday. So going Friday all day and just the morning on Saturday may be a good bet.
'Cept if you are going to try and make deals in the flea market area... no one wants to deal on Friday.

Friday is the best day for parts. For seeing the "most" Corvettes, it's Saturday. Sunday is clean-up day and is the best day for dealings on "left over" cars & parts. I head home Sunday just BEFORE the car drawing.
