Very nice car!

How much have you driven it since these pics? Does your manifold still look that pretty? I'm just curious, cause I can't seem to keep mine looking that nice and I keep having to repaint it.

No problem at all with the intake, wipe it every once in a while with tissue and it looks just like when I took it out of the box. Well worth the extra money. And its not that much more for it. My brother-in-law has the same intake on his 79. Been on for about a year now and again it still looks like he just took it out of the box. Summit, Summit, Summit!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not saying you used the wrong stuff, I'm just saying I purchased an intake that has a Permastar coating on it. Here is the quote from Edlebrock, "The PermaStar finish is a high performance coating that gives a super show quality, smoked chrome looking finish that will not oxidize or fade and cleans easily".
