Emergency Spare - revisited

Emergency Spare - revisited
After much looking, I found an emergency spare...had the right bolt pattern and offset, but the tire is rotten.
Figured I could pick up a tire for $30 or $40; seems noone sells 155-80 d16's or anything narrow and tall for the 16 inch donut rim;
I can find 145-90 16 etc. on the internet, but again noone carries them;
I'm ready to just carry a plug kit and one of the tiny compressors that plugs into the lighter or tailpipe. Anyone else have this problem?
Oh yeah, Dodge dealer has the rim & tire for Vipers which goes for $155.
