Default Thoughts on Max lead 2000

http://www.maxlead2000.com/

I have heard of others here using Maxlead 2000. What our your thoughts Good/Bad. And what ratio are you using 12oz, 18oz…1gal per tank full? What is you compression ratio both static and if you know dynamic? I am not sure of my dynamic but static is 10.7 to 1.

Do you really need it? Got detonation problems?

What is the engine like? Iron or aluminum heads, cam specs, you know the drill.

I am running 10.2 +/- static CR and 8.2 dynamic CR, if the charts can be believed, on 89 octane with no problems. I do have aluminum heads. Timing is 36* in by 2500 rpm + about 16* vacuum. Cam is a CC XE274.

I am not sure if I need it or not. The engine was just built and has not been started yet because I have not picked it up from the shop. I want to make sure that I don’t harm the eng before I even break it in. It does have aluminum heads and the cam specs are as followed. As for the timing I don’t know that either I would like to set it to make maximum power. I am not sure how to calculate the Dynamic compression ratio.

93 oct. and timing at 36 deg. should be fine for break-in...your not going to be running it hard then

I will try not to at least. I do have a mental condition that makes my foot get very heavy when “rice” with coffee cans and 6 story spoilers or a Ford get around me.

my 70 -11 to1 350 loved that stuff. Mixed a qt with a tank of sunoco ultra. Other than that or AV 100LL, (the vette loves that too),and all I heard was pinging.

I rebuild again after a bunch of years years, and I'm running on ultra only, with no pinging at all. Wonder if I had issues before.
