Default Two Questions??

1) Is Brands Hatch Green (983) for 71's a metallic "green flake" paint color ? [my 71 convert now is yellow and will probally paint it back 983]

2) Mine interior trim package is saddle vinyl and exterior color is 983 (brands hatch green). The 2 restoration books I have for c3's do not show this possible combination.

Please Comment

The green is metallic, and saddle with green is not available. Has the interior color been changed? The trim tag should have 417 (interior
color), if it was produced with saddle.

Brands Hatch green is a much prettier green than the Donneybrook green of 1970.

Interior code 417 saddle vinyl or code 420 saddle leather were both available with 983 Brands Hatch green, and were actually very popular in this color combo.

The 1971 interior color options that were available with Brands Hatch Green (983) were Black Vinyl or Leather (400, 403), Dark Saddle Vinyl or Leather (418, 424) and Dark Green Vinyl only (423).

You might want to pick up a copy of the 70-72 Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide. www.ncrs.org

Just got home and my trim plate on door panel reads 983 and 417. Are you saying not possible for my car. Could it have been special ordered? Advise.

Sorry my bad, Your trim plate is correct. 1971 Brands Hatch Green is 983 & dark saddle vinyl is 417, leather is 420.

The other codes I posted for black and dark green are correct.
