Trying to replace passenger side turn signal/tail light bulb. Extremely diffucult to twist back into lens cap from under car. How do I properly remove lens cap and try to assemble bulb back in that way from the outside. No room for hand from trying under the car. Have removed about a layer of skin off hand already. I did remove a nut on inside but afraid to use too much pressure to pop it out. This is the only thing keeping me from enjoying some cruising this summer. Someone please help my poor hands. Oh yeah, 1974 Stingray. Thanks.

Im a little confused, aren't there two screws that you can take out from the outside of teh car, then just pull out the lense? My 76, I was able to do that. I took the lenses off in order to polish them cause they were a little grungy. Cleaned them right up.
Nope..all of you are wrong.
74's had a one year only tail light.
There are two bolts that attach the whole one piece tail light to the fiberglass bumper retainer. They are located on the back of the tail light.
Unfortunately, the only way to replace the bulb is to destroy your hands.
Keep at it.

After I responded to this post, the next evening as I was backing the Vette out of the Driveway, I noticed that my passenger side tail light was out.
I'm keeping my mouth shut from now on!
