All Fired Up!!!!!!!!!!!
Just finished dropping in my fresh L-71! what a differance over the boat anchor that just came out! Took it out just for a min, was hard to come back to the garage! I-26 was calling!!!! yea, RHD'68L-89, I need a element for sure. way to much work and money in that set... to send crap down the throats of all those carbs!
Looks Great!dont want to rain on this thread but is that teflon tape on the threads going into the carbs?the threads on my tri carb feedlines dont seal from the threads,but they tighten the lines down so the line seals,thus not needing the teflon.Are those stock lines?Am I missing somthing here?Anyway got to luv the L71

Pretty setup there!
Actualy, I have been known to use teflon tape on fuel line fitting threads myself. Not for sealing purposes but for assembly/dissasembly purposes later. It helps you get the fittings apart without trashing the nuts/lines. You need to be careful that you do not get any tape fragments into the lines or they may cause the carb needle and seat to hang open and flood the carb. I have tried anti-sieze too but I had problems with that stuff and it is a lot more messy too.

Hey Mark, thats why I did it, ( teflon) so i can get back to the filters on each carb.
