C3 owners with C5 seats...
I'm talking with another forum member from the C5 section about buying his 98 sport seats...he says they're full power with typical wear on the driver seat and perfect passenger. What is a resonable asking price for these seats? thanks

If you use the C5 brackets they are going to sit way to high. You need to take off the C5 brackets and redrill for the C3 brackets so the power will be taken off. You can do floor surgery and make them fit but this seems to be what most have done. I am also looking into doing this on mine. I have seen a low of about 350 to a high of 800+ for the seats.

I paid $550.00 shipped from CA to PA for a set of base seats (non-sport), no power options, no tracks. However, the seats are in near perfect condition. I'll be reusing my C3 tracks. Sport seats typically go for a little more than base seats.

When I was looking for seats, I found that, for some reason, the guys with the sport seat wanted primo $$ for their seats. Maybe because they were optional. I don't know. One guy wanted $2000!!!
What are they worth to you? I got a set of base seats from a 2003 with 3,000 miles on them for about $500 + shipping. All the electrics & frames on both seats were included but I had to remove that stuff anyway to get them to sit lower in the C3.
I've seen the range on C5 seat purchases run from a $350 to a little over $1,000. If they're not perfect and have no electrics I'd day the lower end of that scale.
Did you post a "want ad" in C5 for sale? I had to post a few times over the course of 2 months to find a set that fit my price.

where is the wear at?depending on how bad it is id say you should be able to do 350-450 for them.If the wear is oin the side bolster it can be repaired very cheap from a shop.

They should all fit Brett. You have to remove the C5 rails and attach the C3 rails and probably drill a few new holes to mount them.

I can't imagine spending more than $600 bucks on seats and I did indeed post a wanted ad in the C5 section so I'll probably do like you did Jug and keep reposting every once and a while

I would go with Corbeau before I went with C5 seats.

I posted in the C5 parts wanted section for nearly 2 months before I got a bite. I also kept checking the section to see what was selling. Sometimes the sellers don't respond to the WTB posts.
