Default Is this a rare engine block????

I have what I thought was an original 350 I pulled out of my 72 Chevelle to sell. (yes I also own a Vette).
I was informed it was a rare casting that was used in 1969 Z28 Camaros. The casting # is 3932388 and the date code is B22 9 which is Feb22 1969.
My research shows this being either a 350/300 or a 302/290. I will be pulling the heads to measure the stroke to see if it is the 3.00 used in the 302.
What other markings should I look for?

Can anyone tell me the value or rarity of this engine?
Thanks in advance
JZ

Some more numbers stamped on the front of the block on the passenger side are: 10y101148 and T0807CMR.

Other numbers at the back cast into the block are 378 with a "T" over the number 17.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

A few things are known about the "388" block. Colvin published his "Chevy By The Numbers" book stating that this block was rare with uncertain usage. Later he found that this block is not realy all that rare, just uncertain as to why they exist. The 3 digit engine suffix identifies this block as 1970 or later model year. The "C" is for "car" as the truck engines get "T". I do not have engine suffix books for anything newer than 69.

The assembly date code does not work with the suffix so I am a little confused. The "T0807CMR" decodes into Tonawanda NY, assembled August 7th. This does not match the casting date of "B22 9" which is Feb 22 of some year ending in -9. Too much of a spread as these blocks were cast and then assembled within days. No place to stockpile a block that long. Something isn't right here.

-Mark.

Sorry.
I would think having the 1970 Caprice/Bel Air/Kingswood Wagon at this point would be more rare.

Anybody wanna buy a 350/300 4 bolt main complete engine out of a 1970 Caprice,Bel Air, kingswood wagon?
It looks good from the inside and it ran great except for a miss in #6 but I think it's just a lifter issue. I just dissambeled it and everything looks good.
The heads are 458642.

I'll be Ebaying it but atleast now I know what I'm selling and can describe it accurately.
