After going to Corvettes for Kids today and my buddy putting up his window and laughing at me while I died from the heat, It seem like I need to get my AC fixed.
1) is there a company that can rebuild my compressor (long one)
2) Do they sell a more powerful fan motor. Mine seems to barely blow on high.
Don't mess around with a rebuilt compressor. Get a new one from GM. I bought one for my 95 Suburban from www.gmotors.com for about $250. Get a new dryer and expansion valve as well. Debate rages about refrigerant, but I'd stay R12. If you don't, then R134 is the only other choice for me.
You can retrofit to a C4 blower which has a larger fan. See www.corvettefaq.com for more info.
Do a search in the archives for more info on both of these topics. Good luck.
