Hi all! I have a question about the center grille on a 1970. My car originally came with a license plate bracket on the front, which I removed since we dont use front plates in Indiana. (Plus I like the look better).
My question is: Is there a different set of brackets that connect the center grille to the supports for non license plate cars? My grille now looks recessed too far back without the plate holder there. Seems like I've seen the center grille more "flush" with the bumper on some cars, but this would take longer grille brackets. Anybody familiar with this?
There was a post just a few days ago by someone who was considering using spacers (probably 1 1/2") to move it forward so as to be more "even" with the right and left side. After removing the front license plate bracket, of course. Here in Washington it's used for regular plates but not for collector's plates (mine). I haven't shimmed it forward but have thought about it. Anybody have any pictures with this done on a C-3 chromie?
