BB side pipe tubs, how long

Thanks for the info. The place I found to sell them to me has them in 48". I should be able to trim them and make them work. All I have to do is weld the tabs on and powder coat them and I will be done with that.

A friend of mine bought tubes for a semi truck exhaust and cut them to size. He said they were cheaper than buying the ones from Hooker.
I have not compared the prices, so don't know first hand.

Using the 48" truck pipes will leave you without a flared end to slip over your collector. Pipes are 45" long. It's hard to find anyone to flare 4" pipe...........If your welding it together, no problem, but then there's no access to the inside................

cut the tub right at the area were it is inlarged to slip over the header colector and cut three inches out than weld it back together and smooth. there you go a 45" side tub. May even try to cut 2" off the
collector that will give me the room I need I think. Gotta get the motor back in the car so I can fit them up.
