Default Powder Coated headers and Master cyl.

I had my headers powder coated and I powdercoated my master cyl. The headers are high temp black and my master cyl is called vein gray. I am not finished with our big oven yet so I had a local shop do the headers.

Not sure what the shop is gunna charge me. I can do it my self for about $50. I do not have the overhead like they do. Once I get our oven done I will be ready to do my own stuff. Right now we have a regular kitchen oven so we can do any thing that will fit in our oven. The master cyl cost avout $5 to do.

There are some high temp powders that are supposed to handle 1500 deg for short periods and 900 continuous service. I am going to find out if they work.

Well i didn't belive it when i saw a BB C3 at a carshow recently with powdercoated exh manifolds. I thought that guy had to be mistaken as they looked a bad ceramic coat or more like that hammered spray can enamal sold at the hardware stores.
BTW for large objects Eastwood Co. and others sell heat lamps to cure the coating. Not really cheap though but the idea is we can powdercoat our engine blocks or frame even right at home. cardo0

That was my first thought. Powder coating is not made for high temperatures. If it works let us know and I will have mine done
