Default Ecklers

Let me start by saying I do not work for ECKLERS .

A quick/long story . I want to shorten my turn signal lever to be in proportion with my MOMO steering wheel. I heard that on the '68-'69 lever the black end comes off. I started a thread in C3 Parts looking to see if anyone had one. Not being very patient, after a day and a half of no response I CALLED Eckler's TOLLFREE phone number. I do not remember who I spoke to but he was very heplfull. I told him what I was doing, he told me to hold on. He actually went back into the warehouse and checked one. He came back and told me it looks like the black will come off with a little work. He also said because this is not normal he can not promise me it will work. In short, He was VERY HELPFULL. Icing on the cake....I even got my Corvette Club Discount (on a $15.99 part ) which was a wash on tax .

So for you "Modern Technology" guys who send your orders in via the internet, well who knows what can happen to your order. I ALWAYS want to speak to a REAL LIVE PERSON.

Also...This was yesterday.. I have the part today @ 11:00am. (same state/same day UPS).

I just want to say I also order from Corvette Central, Zip, & others (for Corvette parts).

I ALSO FOUND DEALING WITH ECKLERS THEY GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO MAKE YOU HAPPY.
I CALL IT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, AND IS ONE REASON I DEAL WITH ECKLERS.

I've been dealing with them since the late 70's when they moved here to Florida from up north. I have a business discount and that helps the pricing a ton. While I'm saddened to see them lose their stature of the late 80's early 90's when they owned half the block, and their inventory is much smaller now a days, they have ALWAYS given great, personal service. It makes the hour drive down to Titusville worth it just to deal with them face to face and be treated like someone they appreciate. Even if the showroom is 1/8th the size it use to be. My .02

You're just looking for an excuse to drive your Vette in that beautiful Florida sunshine. Been there one time from NC. Was disappointed with their showroom as well. Plus, I expected to see MANY vettes.

Years ago in the late '80s & early '90s (when Ralph owned it) that is the way it was. There were always Vettes parked out front and a tremendous showroom.

Kinda like Motion in Baldwin,N.Y. I use to ride my bicycle over there to check out all the cool cars being built/modified/serviced. But by the time I got my driver's license (1976) there were hardly any cars hanging out in front. I did have them put a 4.10 ring & pinion and a new posi unit in my '71 Z/28.

Yeah, now you can buy a T-Shirt and relive their glory days when Joel Rosen owned the place, I remember those days when the name alone struck fear into everyon else hearts. I use to have to race aginst their Vette in mine before the owner got kill over in Nam.

I too have been dealing with Ecklers since the mid 80's, and have seen a lot of changes in thier business over the years. I feel that they have had some bumps in thier customer service in the past but I really feel that they have made great strides here of late. It nice being 40 minutes down the road from them.

I have used ecklers, and a host of the other venders, corvette central, TLD, Wilcox, Mid america, and others I can't remember. I have had nothing but good dealings with all.

I am having issues with a tach board that I ordered from them and have had no assistance with the two times that I have contacted them. I will be looking elsewhere for any of my future parts purchases . Brent
