Kudos - beyond the call!!!!!
Many of you will recall I was looking for a BB chrome bumper vert for a buddy here in Oz. We've had some problems because many sellers are now leery of overseas buyers and scams.
Greg volunteered to find us the "right" car. He did that and much more, it's a 70 390hp BB bronze vert, 4 speed, every option, matching everthing, both tops, 62k mi Texas car. Greg handled all the negotiations, sent us hundreds of photos and many emails, and got us a very good buy. Lastly Greg flew to Houston for us and drove the car back to Ca. over 1700 miles in desert heat up to 112 F. Car ran flawlessly.
I cannot recommend Greg highly enough and certainly cannot thank him enough for his help. Forum should be proud to have members like this.
Joe
Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure if our roles were reversed you'd have done the same for me or any other forum member.
It's nice to be able to help out some of the members in other countries who don't have easy access to all the Corvettes and parts like we do here in America.
If any of you members who get a chance to meet Joe and have a cold beer with him, don't pass it up. He's a great guy!
I'll see if we can get a picture up here so the rest of the guys can see the car.
Best,
Greg
Sorry for the delay in getting these pics up. The car is a numbers match '70 454, 4 speed in Corvette Bronze on Saddle, loaded with 66k original miles, vinyl covered hard top and black soft top. I drove it from Houston, TX to Palm Springs, CA without a hitch. This is going to wind up in the hands of Ken in Australia who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, but I'm sure we'll all be hearing from him as soon as he gets his new car.
I just took these pictures tonight here in Palm Springs. The car is parked in front of Kirk Douglas' house (Yes, the actor).
