What's it worth in Northeast region?

That does look like a very clean '82 though...
How much were they asking?
That one looks really well maintained ( no "bubba" mods) . Even tho White & tan were not my favorite colours but this one really does look sharp & changed my mind. Go for it.

The seller may feel it's worth that much but you should be able to talk him down if you show him what others in like condition are actually going for. Someone may have told him its worth that but it depends on his "motivation" for selling is. If he is just fishing for someone to pay that $$$ then he will have to wait but if he "has to sell" for other reasons than you might just be able to talk him down & get it.
Good luck.
I've seen prices from $6k all the way to $20k - that's why I'm figuring I'll come in at $15k. It's been for sale for about 4 months so I'm hoping they don't want to keep storing it and will accept $15K - Heard it may be going up to Carlisle so only time will tell
Don't forget to let us know how it works out.
Also IMO, the reason the '82 crossfires sell slow is because most guys are looking for earlier models because with carbs and no smog they are easier to mod and get more HP out of them.

The one thing that I hate the most about the 80-82 Vettes is the 85MPH speedo. That just drives me crazy.I would have to change that out.
Don't worry about the cross-fire, if it's in good shape & tuned it's great.
I still don't understand why people bad mouth it, most likely because they don't understand it. I think it's easier to take care of than a carb.
The '82 is a great cruiser
ride, milage, comfort are all there. It's just as peppy as most late C3's.Hope you get it.

I drive an 82 Collector Edition and I really enjoy the car. Some of the gripes about the 82 are justified. The crossfire can be fussy and the 700R4 tranny upshifts so fast that the engine lugs. I found a mechanic that knew how to work on the crossfire and it has been quite trouble free. I am entertaining thoughts of installing a 5 speed manual tranny. I think the car would be a lot more fun to drive.
That is a fine looking Vette. It is far more cost effective to buy a Vette that is in excellent condition (and maybe pay a little more) than to buy a car that needs a lot of work. My advice would be to make an offer on that 82!
Good luck!

Tom

Wow nice 82 Vette

very clean. If it runs good and all the running gear seems good I would guess about $12k-$14k. Maybe more if it's perfect.
