I mailed back a questionare a few weeks back and forgot about it until a Tech support guy named Max called me. I was surprised and asked him some questions on the intake/gasket questions that pop up here from time to time. Here's what I was told.
Use Fel-Pro #1256 when using the Performer intake
#1205 w/ the Performer RPM intake
It was nice to heard back from a manufacturer still making parts in the USA and concerned about their customers!! Something that's being lost in the this country I'm afraid.
I think some of the best parts are made in this country. If only there was a way to lower prices. Many things made in this country are more them people like myself can afford. It would be a big boost for our economy and businesses if we bought USA made items. I try and buy items not only made in the USA but from local businesses in my community. It makes no sense to buy items out of my area, out of my state, and especially out of this country. If everyone not only thought that way but practiced it, we all would be able to afford our neighbors product and services.
I toured the Edelbrock "factory" a couple of years back. My guide was a real gearhead who lived hot rods, was well educated, very articulate and couldn't have been nicer. I witnessed their CNC aluminum cutter machine that turns blocks of aluminum into heads. Beautiful machining. I was also shown several EFI products in development and their impressive museum of Vic's personal hotrods including salt flat racers, Nascars, street rods and Corvettes.

I've recieved great support from their customer service.
One other company that suprised me with a phone call over a very simple question was B.F. Goodrich. They called me to answer a question that I submitted via their website.
I meet with Vic Jr. on the USS CONSTELLATION (CV-64) back in 1997. Great down to earth guy. I still have his autograph on my ship's cap. He was pretty impressed with our V24 emergency turbo diesel generators (0-4200 RPM on the speed governor in less than 7 seconds).
Very I met Vic and his daughter Cammy at Watkins Glen a couple of years ago at the vintage car race there. Vic was driving his vette while Cammy had a vintage Mustang (4 speed) that she was racing. It was really neat to see Cammy with a camcorder in hand taping many of the different cars that were there, it showed that they really are car people at heart and not just business people
