Disconnected wires

Disconnected wires
I have just purchased a 75 Corvette, after a few days of getting familiar with it I found where the jack goes. In the compartment are a few wires that connect together. One of these sets is disconnected, does any one know what these are, and should I reconnect it?

Congrats on your 75 vette.....you must be having alot of fun getting to know your vette....I am with my 70! 
I think the wires in the jack compartment are the alarm wires that connect to the alarm relay. Im pretty sure thats what they are in my 70 (even though my alarm is disconnected and not working
).
