Default Wheel Suggestions

Hey, Well the suspension and brakes are done on my 75 (VBP full system). Im now looking to get some wheels for it. I have offset trailing arms in the back and im looking to utilize the added space. I really like the AR torq II but i noticed a lot of people on here have them. Im looking for something in that style 17x8 for the front and 18x10 in the back. Any suggestions guys?

Have you looked into boyd coddington's or intro's or american racing hopsters also. The tt2's are used alot on here but they do look good no matter what.

Nate '69 just got some of the Boyd Coddington - Junk Yard Dog wheels for his ride - nice looking set of wheels. Me I am more partial to the 6 spoke for some reason, kind of the c5 version but with an extra spoke and a deeper dish. www.billetwheel.com is the boyd coddington web site. I was at a local tire shop getting a tire patched and was thumbing thru their wheel catalogue and wow what a selection. There are a lot of custome wheels and even some companies that will do 1 off's but they are $$$$$

I kinda like these

but i dont know how they will look on a c3. I really like red73's car but i dont want to copy it.

EDIT= I just found the junk yard dog on the site and turns out what i posted is just a cheaper version of it. I like them a lot, but if $550 is the "cheaper version" ... lol

How are you going to fit 18 x 10 on the back. I think 5 inch backspacing is the maximum you will get away with on the back and that also means a shortened spring. With 10 inch wide and 5 inch backspacing the tire will stick out the side of the car forcing you to either run a very stiff spring or jack the car up to protect the fend lip.

maybe someone that is good with photo shop will chime in and give you an idea of what your car would look like with a set of those.

I have seen it done with other things

I wish I knew how to work in photo shop and then was good at it on top of that

Just like Red73. Offset trailing arms, 10 inch spring bolts. Im HOPING i can get away with that. The VBP fiberglass spring cant be cut in the back. We'll see.

This is red73's car. I want to do the same size as him but with the junk yard dogs. 18x10 in back with 5.5 backspace. 285/35 tires

I have 18 x 10's with 295/35/18's on the rear of mine, 5.5" backspace, offset trailing arms, shortened "thick" steel spring from Guldstrand.........wheel sits inside the wheel well (just!!!).

Does anyone know how the VBP dual mount monospring compares in length to the stock spring or the shortened gulstrand?

These are shots of my new back tires and rims. They are 10 inch wide with 6 ½ backspacing and 18 inch with 285 x 40 pirelli tires

This is a shot of how it fits inside the fender well. With proper backspacing and a little work it is centered in the well and easily fits.
